Anti-Inflammatory Avocado Ginger Ice Cubes

This is one of my staple DIY hacks that my dear friend Alfonso shared with me to help with my RA inflammation. It's really intriguing and highly beneficial: it’s avocado seed and ginger ice cubes and they’re always in my freezer and beverage.

Inflammation is a natural process of the body's immune system, responding to injury or infection. 

However, when inflammation becomes chronic, it can lead to various health issues, from arthritis to heart disease, and even depression. 

That's where our natural remedy comes in, combining the unexpected powers of avocado seeds and ginger in a convenient, ice-cube format.

First, let's talk about the ingredients. Avocado seeds are rich in antioxidants, which help combat inflammation. They also contain soluble fiber, which can reduce cholesterol levels, and have been shown to possess antimicrobial and antifungal properties.Ginger, on the other hand, is well-known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-nausea effects. It contains gingerol, a substance with powerful medicinal properties.

Now, onto the recipe:

You'll need:

  • The seed of one avocado,

  • A 2-inch piece of fresh ginger,

  • Water for blending.


  • Start by washing the avocado seed and ginger root thoroughly.

  • Chop the ginger and avocado seed into smaller pieces (be careful with the hard seed).

  • Blend these with about a cup of water until you have a smooth mixture.

  • Pour the blend into an ice cube tray and freeze.

To use, simply pop out an avocado seed and ginger ice cube and let it melt in a glass of water or add it directly to a smoothie for an anti-inflammatory boost.
